Curious about a career in diplomacy? Join Diplomat in Residence for NY Metro Danielle Harms to learn about career and student opportunities with the U.S. Department of State. Ms. Harms has been a career member of the U.S. Foreign Service for more than 18 years and will share some of her own experiences from around the globe.

Ms. Harms is a proud native of State College, Pennsylvania. She has served overseas at U.S. Embassies as Deputy Public Affairs Officer in Sweden, Cultural Affairs Officer in Afghanistan, Political Officer in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Consular Chief in Iceland. In addition to her current role as Diplomat in Residence, she has held domestic assignments at the State Department including service as Senior Advisor to the Office of Eastern European Affairs covering Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova.
